Kate Pillsbury has performed on hundreds of stages across the United States in her 15 year tenure as an artist. In 2010, she co-founded the indie rock band The Crane Wives. Together, they have released 5 studio records, including the 2024 album Beyond, Beyond, Beyond. 

In the shadows of her touring life, she has quietly carved away at a collection of potently autobiographical songs centered on themes of nature, identity, grief, and the anxiety of living through “unprecedented” times. Intent to capture her own attention, she weaves playful guitar leads between catchy vocal melodies. Each song is a 4-minute protection spell from the temptation to doom-scroll, and she invites any and all listeners under her shield.
